Amelia Caruso

With the pandemic and times being what they are, its completely understandable that Art in and of itself is not a big seller right now, Rightly So. With that said, Amelia is very excited to offer her painting on some new and unique products just in time for the Holidays! Everything from Amelia's homegrown Garden Store items to All Kinds of clothing and home goods items with her artwork front and center! Amelia grew up in Cincinnati Ohio. She attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati. At the Art Academy, she entered as an illustration student and left as a photographer. Even though Amelia is now a painter, she feels that her eye still composes her paintings in a viewfinder.

Ms. Caruso exhibits throughout the United States. Her artwork appeared on Emmy winning television shows including Will & Grace. Amelia designed a fabric line with manufacturer Robert Kaufman and was recently awarded the purchase prize for the 20th anniversary of the Colorado State University Commission on Women and Gender Equity with her piece, Details of My Life.

"I use the dot as a tool which can change someone's perspective. The relationship between colors, how a red looks with teal is completely changes when that same red is placed with a yellow. The energy of the dots stacked with color could be a satellite photo or a close up image of cells. A non-objective look at the world through these dots can be anything to anyone.

The dots are hand painted with only a paintbrush. No other tools are used". ~Amelia Caruso
